University of MEXT Recommendation Scholarship eligibility requirements 

Candidates must fulfill each requirement given below in order to be eligible for MEXT Scholarship University Recommendation: 

  • Japanese or English are needed languages. 
  • Every nation on earth is qualified. 
  • planning to study abroad in Japan 
  • not be a citizen of Japan and belong to a nation with which Japan has diplomatic relations. 
  • You had better have been born on April 2, 1988, or after. 
  • possess a minimum GPA of 2.30 on a scale of 3.00 from their most recent university. 
  • This scholarship is not available to people who are serving in the military actively or who are employed by the military at the time of application. 
  • The recipient's ability to reach Japan during the APU's stipulated arrival window is required.
  • Unless they have more than three years of academic research experience after the final payment of the prior MEXT scholarship award, applicants must have previously received a MEXT scholarship. 
  • Any applicant for this grant forfeits their right to submit an application for any other MEXT scholarships. 
  • Recipients of this award are ineligible for any other scholarships while they are enrolled in classes at APU. 
  • To qualify for this scholarship, students must be in Japan on a valid student visa.
